A Caucasian Dream in the Heart of Georgia In June, the time had finally come. It was off to the next adventure - a memorable trip to Georgia . Before the journey, I was mostly excited about the delicious Georgian food, but after the trip, I came to realise just how diverse the country truly is. In addition to the great food, which certainly includes the wine, Georgia also has the breathtaking natural beauty of the Caucasus and the heartwarming hospitality of the Georgian people. After a roughly eight hours journey from Freiburg via Basel and Istanbul to Tbilisi, we were warmly welcomed by Sebastian, our German guide for the first week. Following a delicious first dinner at the Pasanauri restaurant in Tbilisi - featuring Badrijani, Khinkali, Khachapuri and Pkhali - we headed to bed early to be ready for the next day and the upcoming adventures.
