Travel around the World

A little Trip around the World in the Heart of Berlin   About a year after the wedding in the Spreewald region, I was able to visit my friends Carina and Martin in Berlin again. For the Saturday, I made the sightseeing plan and so, we planned to visit the Gardens of the World (Gärten der Welt). Somehow our trip around the world on one day started there. After almost 1.5 hours of taking the S-Bahn and the bus, we reached the gardens in Marzahn-Hellersdorf. At first, we thought of a leisurely tour and a subsequent journey to Köpenick, since I've never visited this area. However, the various gardens and the nice weather enchanted us so much that we spent almost four hours there. But in my opinion, it was better to admire and enjoy the wonderful gardens than just having a rush and feeling stressed by walking around.   Together with the adjacent freely accessible recreational areas of the Kienberg and the Wuhletal directly to the east, this results in a total area of more than 100 hect

  Costa Rica - A Dream of Biodiversity and Volcanoes   This year, I came closer to my dream of travelling to all continents in my life. Since I had to cancel my trip to Namibia and South Africa in 2020, I wanted to find a way to travel far away again for the first time since 2019. So I came up with the idea to accompany my girlfriend to Costa Rica, who is spending half a year there for her master thesis. Travelling to Central America was a special adventure for me, having previously only travelled in Europe and Asia. After a 14-hour odyssey via Newark in the USA and some turbulences on the flight to Costa Rica, we reached San José at night.    The next morning, we woke up well rested after a long sleep. To take it easy and to acclimatize to the humidity, we just walked around the city a little bit and made a stop at the beautiful Spirogyra Butterfly Garden .
